Oelma Website: http://www.oelma.org/- This website was created by the Ohio Educational Library Media Association. This site is very useful because it gives you access to many vital resources such as educational links, state standards, evidence based research, professional development, and even links to job sites. Oelma also has a listserv, blog, and wiki that would be useful to have access to in order to stay connected with other Library/Media Specialists. This is also a good way to stay up to date on current issues.

International Reading Association:
http://www.reading.org/General/Default.aspx- I would definitely use this website often. It gives links to lesson plans, book lists, resources, professional development opportunities, and it also provides information for parents as well. There are also links to many publications such as journals, books, podcast, and DVDs.

International Society for Technology in Education:
http://www.iste.org/- This is a professional organization that keeps you connected with issues concerning technology in education. This site provides journals, books, and other publications in order to allow you to stay up to date with new information regarding technology.

American Library Association: http://www.ala.org/index.cfm -This organization would be good to join if you want to be informed about issues going on across the United States. Since this is not a state specific organization there is lot more information located on this site. I think I would need to work my way up to this organization because right now there is way too much information there for me to process. I think joining a local organization first would be helpful for myself.
